Asuka no Yu
Asuka no Yu (飛鳥乃湯泉) is a modern bathhouse in Matsuyama's Dogo Onsen district, located just 150 meters from the iconic Dogo Onsen Honkan. Opened in 2017, its exterior is inspired by the ancient Asuka Period, connecting the area’s rich history with contemporary luxury. The bathhouse features gender-separated stone baths, as well as relaxing outdoor baths surrounded by hinoki wood panels.
On the second floor, unwind in spacious tatami-covered rooms, with a large communal area where visitors can enjoy tea and sweets for an additional fee. Private rooms and a private bath are also available, with rental yukatas and towels provided. Just a few steps away is Tsubaki no Yu, a local favorite offering simple indoor baths for a more affordable experience.
