Mirai Tower (Nagoya TV Tower)
Mirai Tower, also known as the Nagoya TV Tower, is an iconic landmark in the Sakae district. Completed in 1954 as Japan’s first TV tower, it stands at 180 meters tall. The tower underwent significant renovations between 2019 and 2020, transforming it into Chubu Electric Power Mirai Tower. These upgrades included the addition of a hotel on the lower floors, offering both fantastic views and modern accommodations.
While the observation deck is now 100 meters above ground, it was surpassed by Midland Square’s 220-meter deck. However, Mirai Tower continues to be a popular destination, with stunning panoramic views of Nagoya and a perfect spot for sightseeing and relaxation.
