Nagoya Port
Nagoya Port (名古屋港, Nagoyakō), located south of Nagoya’s city center, is one of Japan's largest and most vibrant ports. The Garden Pier area has been transformed into a leisure hub with an aquarium, shopping mall, amusement park, museums, and open green spaces. The port is well connected to central Nagoya by subway, making it easily accessible for visitors.
The Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium is one of Japan’s finest, featuring marine mammals like dolphins, orcas, and beluga whales, along with other sea creatures from regions spanning Japan to the Antarctic. Visitors can enjoy three popular dolphin shows daily. The Fuji Icebreaker, now a museum, is moored in the harbor, alongside the Nagoya Maritime Museum and a 53-meter-high observatory. For fun, head to the nearby amusement park with the region’s largest Ferris wheel.
