Ghibli Park
Ghibli Park (ジブリパーク) invites visitors to step into the enchanting worlds of Studio Ghibli’s beloved films. Opened in November 2022 near Nagoya, this one-of-a-kind park is not about thrilling rides but rather about immersing guests in the breathtaking fantasy settings of iconic movies like "My Neighbor Totoro," "Princess Mononoke," and "Howl’s Moving Castle." Spread across the expansive Expo 2005 Aichi Commemorative Park, Ghibli Park consists of five distinct areas, each showcasing a different aspect of Ghibli’s magical storytelling. Highlights include Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse, filled with exhibitions and exclusive film screenings, and the Valley of Witches, where visitors can explore European-style architecture from classics like "Kiki’s Delivery Service."
Unlike traditional amusement parks, Ghibli Park offers a serene and detailed journey through its animated worlds, making it a must-visit for fans of the studio. Dondoko Forest brings "My Neighbor Totoro" to life with a replica of Satsuki and Mei’s house, while Mononoke Village immerses visitors in the mystical world of "Princess Mononoke." The Hill of Youth features an iconic elevator tower inspired by "Laputa: Castle in the Sky." To maintain an enjoyable experience, tickets must be purchased in advance, and visitor numbers are limited, ensuring a peaceful and immersive adventure.
