Ozu Castle is a 20-30 minute walk or a quick five-minute taxi ride from Iyo-Ozu Station, costing around 900 yen one way.

Ozu Castle
Ozu Castle (大洲城, Ōzujō) stands proudly on a hill by the Hijikawa River in downtown Ozu. Dating back to the 1300s, the castle has seen multiple reconstructions due to fires and disasters. The current structure was carefully rebuilt in phases, with the main keep completed in 2004 using wood and traditional techniques, offering an authentic glimpse of its original appearance both inside and out.
A unique feature of Ozu Castle is its flanking turrets, a rare design among Japanese castles. Inside, visitors can explore exhibits showcasing Ozu's history, topographical maps, models, and samurai artifacts. Climbing to the top of the four-story keep rewards visitors with stunning views of the city and river.
