Sankeien Garden

Recommended
1 of 1 in attractions in Yokohama

Sankeien (三溪園) is a beautiful Japanese-style garden located in southern Yokohama, offering a peaceful retreat with ponds, rivers, flowers, and scenic trails. The garden, built by Hara Sankei and opened in 1904, showcases historic buildings from across Japan, creating a serene atmosphere reminiscent of Kyoto.

Among the park's attractions are a daimyo residence, several tea houses, and Kyoto's old Tomyoji Temple with its main hall and three-storied pagoda. This blend of nature and history makes Sankeien a must-visit for those looking to explore traditional Japanese architecture and landscapes.
