The TOTO Museum (TOTO ミュージアム, Tōtō Museum) in Kitakyushu, opened to celebrate the company’s 100th anniversary, showcases the evolution of TOTO’s products and history. The two-story building houses a showroom on the first floor and the museum on the second, highlighting TOTO’s journey from creating the first ceramic flush toilet seat in 1914 to pioneering modern washlets. Visitors can explore toilets, washlets, and bathroom designs, seeing firsthand how TOTO transformed bathroom technology. The museum also includes a gallery on international products and a shop for unique souvenirs.

The TOTO Museum is a 10-minute bus ride from Kokura Station. Take buses 21, 22, 25, or 43 from the south exit (Kokurajo Exit) to Kifunemachi (230 yen, frequent departures). The museum is just across the street. Alternatively, take the Kitakyushu Monorail to Kawaraguchi-Mihagino Station (5 minutes, 210 yen) and walk to the museum in about 10 minutes.
