Kodaiji Temple
Kodaiji (高台寺, Kōdaiji) is a beautiful temple in Kyoto's Higashiyama District, built in 1606 by Nene to honor her husband, Toyotomi Hideyoshi. This Zen Buddhist temple, supported by Tokugawa Ieyasu, features lavish architecture and impressive gardens. Visitors can explore the main hall and two gardens: a rock garden and a tsukiyama-style garden with a pond and hills, stunning during autumn.
Behind the temple, you'll find Hideyoshi and Nene’s mausoleum, as well as tea houses and Nene’s Path, leading to nearby shops and the Kodaiji Sho Museum.
