20 of 20 in attractions in Sapporo

The Clock Tower (時計台, Tokeidai) is one of Sapporo's iconic landmarks. Built in 1878 as part of the Sapporo Agricultural College, it housed a drill hall before the famous clock, imported from Boston, was added in 1881. Today, the building serves as a museum where visitors can learn about its history and Sapporo's development.

The first floor showcases the building’s past, while the second floor features the clock and a spacious ceremony hall with a design inspired by colonial American architecture.
