Sapporo Kokusai Ski Resort
Sapporo Kokusai (札幌国際スキー場, Sapporo Kokusai Skījō) is a popular ski resort on the outskirts of Sapporo. Though smaller than nearby resorts, it’s known for its abundant snowfall, similar to Niseko. The resort features five lifts and seven courses, perfect for beginners and intermediates with six easy runs. While advanced skiers might find the slopes less challenging, off-piste and tree skiing areas provide great opportunities for powder snow enthusiasts.
Sapporo Kokusai is about an hour’s drive from downtown Sapporo and close to Jozankei Onsen. Its convenient location makes it ideal for those seeking an alternative to Niseko, though it can get busy on weekends.
