Toyosu
Toyosu (豊洲) is a vibrant, man-made island in Tokyo, just near Odaiba. Originally created in the 1930s and later expanded, it’s home to the relocated Tsukiji Fish Market, which reopened as Toyosu Market in 2018. In addition to its seafood legacy, Toyosu is where the first 7-Eleven convenience store opened in Japan in 1974, now with over 20,000 stores nationwide. The area also boasts Lalaport Toyosu, a large shopping mall with international and local brands, a cinema, and a waterfront promenade for a relaxing day out.
For families, Toyosu offers Kidzania, an interactive indoor theme park for children where they can play-act various professions like pilots or cooks. The mall is a lively hub with diverse dining options and entertainment, making Toyosu a must-visit destination in Tokyo for all ages.
