To get to Bitchu Kokubunji Temple from Bitchu-Takahashi Station, take the Takahashi City Loop Bus from the station’s bus center on the first floor. The fare is ¥170, and the bus stops at several attractions, including the temple.

Bitchu Kokubunji Temple (備中国分寺, Bitchū Kokubunji) was founded in 741 and holds significant historical value. After being destroyed during the 14th-century civil war, the temple was rebuilt in the Edo period. Its most iconic feature is the five-story pagoda, which stands at 34.32 meters tall. Completed in 1884, this pagoda is the last one of its kind built in Japan.
