Mimurotoji Temple (三室戸寺) in Uji is a scenic retreat, known as the "flower temple" for its beautiful gardens filled with seasonal blooms. Visitors can enjoy cherry blossoms in April, azaleas in May, hydrangeas in June, lotuses in summer, and vibrant autumn colors in November. Founded 1,200 years ago, the temple houses a statue of the thousand-armed Kannon Bodhisattva and features unique statues of an ox and a rabbit. Touching the ox's stone ball is believed to bring success, while the rabbit’s sphere grants wishes.

Patting Ugajin's statue is said to bring good luck. With its tranquil atmosphere and spiritual significance, Mimurotoji Temple is a perfect place to experience nature and tradition in Uji.
