The Gotemba Premium Outlets are just outside Gotemba City, not far from Hakone. A free shuttle bus runs every 15 minutes between the mall and JR Gotemba Station, stopping at Tomei-Gotemba IC along the way.
From Hakone, take the Odakyu Highway Bus every 1-2 hours to Gotemba Station (W line), and transfer to the shuttle bus to the outlets. Buses stop at Togendai (40 minutes, 1080 yen) and Sengoku (25 minutes, 730 yen). The Hakone Free Pass covers these routes. Alternatively, you can take the Hakone Tozan Bus to Sengoku and transfer to the Odakyu bus. Direct buses also run from Yunessun and Gora Station to the outlets.

Gotemba Premium Outlets is Japan's most popular outlet mall, located at the foot of Mount Fuji, near Hakone. This vast mall offers around 300 stores with fashion, electronics, sports, food, and luxury items at discounted prices. It also features a food court, a 50-meter Ferris wheel, a hotel, and a public hot spring bath, making it an ideal destination for shopping and relaxation.
The outlets are home to many international brands, offering a wide range of products from everyday essentials to high-end goods. While the prices are not extremely cheap, they are better than standard retail prices in Japan. It's a great spot for a fun day of shopping and enjoying the views of Mount Fuji.
