Hakone Botanical Garden of Wetlands (箱根湿生花園, Hakone Shisseikaen) is located in the scenic highlands of Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park. Established in 1976, the garden preserves over 1700 varieties of marsh and alpine plants native to Japan. It’s a great place to explore and learn about local flora, with boardwalk paths winding through different marshland ecosystems.

The garden is especially popular in June when the Nikko Kisuge (daylilies) bloom in full splendor. Although the garden is closed in winter, its beautiful landscapes and informative signs in both English and Japanese make it an ideal spot for nature lovers year-round.
