Hasedera is just a 5-minute walk from Hase Station, the third stop from Kamakura on the Enoden train line, which connects Kamakura to Enoshima and Fujisawa. The train's final stop is right next to JR Kamakura Station.

Hasedera Temple
Hasedera Temple (長谷寺) is a stunning Jodo sect temple known for its eleven-headed statue of Kannon, the goddess of mercy. At 9.18 meters tall, this gilded wooden statue is one of Japan's largest wooden sculptures. Visitors can admire it in the Kannon-do Hall, alongside the beautiful views of Kamakura. Adjacent to the hall, the Kannon Museum displays more treasures, including statues and a temple bell.
Set on a hill slope, the temple offers scenic views of Kamakura. The Amida-do Hall features a golden Amida Buddha statue, while the Jizo-do Hall displays hundreds of small Jizo statues. Visitors can enjoy the peaceful garden and even dine at the small restaurant offering traditional Japanese sweets and meals.
