Seigan-ji Temple

Seigan-ji (浄土宗 清巌寺) is a small, historical Buddhist temple in Utsunomiya, offering a serene and peaceful experience. The temple is home to a graceful seated Buddha statue, with one leg hanging over a lotus flower, radiating calm. Behind the statue, you’ll find ancient carved figures, adding to the temple’s charm. Near the entrance, a monumental grave marker features Buddhist figures carved into stone.

The temple’s worship hall boasts fierce dragon carvings on wooden beams, while the graveyard offers a tranquil atmosphere with Buddhist statues, creating a sense of calm within the wooded surroundings.
