Toyosu Market
Toyosu Market (豊洲市場) opened in 2018 on Tokyo Bay's Toyosu Island, replacing the historic Tsukiji Market. This modern market lets visitors watch auctions and explore its three main buildings: two for seafood, including the famous tuna auctions, and one for fruits and vegetables. Observation windows and decks provide unique views of the lively market action. The market also offers a variety of restaurants, including popular sushi spots, and the Uogashi Yokocho Market, where you can buy souvenirs and local goods.
The rooftop garden provides stunning waterfront views, while the newly opened Senkyaku Banrai facility offers extra shopping, dining, and even a public bath with overnight options. Connected by walkways and accessible from Shijo-mae Station, Toyosu Market is a must-visit for food lovers and cultural explorers alike, capturing the spirit of Japan's bustling market culture in a sleek, modern setting.

I recently visited Toyosu Market, and it was an incredible experience! The market is modern and spacious, with fantastic observation decks that give you a great view of the bustling tuna auctions. Watching the skilled auctioneers and the massive tuna being sold was fascinating. The atmosphere is lively, and you really feel the energy of the place.
After exploring the auctions, I visited some of the sushi restaurants nearby. The freshness and quality of the seafood were outstanding. It was the best sushi I've ever had! Toyosu Market is a must-visit for seafood lovers and anyone interested in Japanese culture.3 weeks ago — by Wesley
