Arima Toys and Automata Museum
The Arima Toys and Automata Museum (有馬玩具博物館), established in 2003 by Mr. Hironobu Kanai, the 15th proprietor of the historic Goshoboh inn, is a delightful attraction for all ages. In collaboration with toy designer Mr. Yuzo Kato and automata designer Mr. Akio Nishida, the museum was created to bring the joy of toys and automata to the public. Visitors can immerse themselves in a world where they are encouraged to “watch, listen, play, and build.” The collection includes a variety of toys that are both visually fascinating and interactive, ensuring everyone finds something to enjoy.
The museum is designed to be a fun, hands-on experience, with no lengthy explanations needed to enjoy the exhibits. Brochures are available in English and Chinese, making it accessible to a wider audience. Whether you’re a child or an adult, the Arima Toys and Automata Museum offers a nostalgic and engaging experience, bringing smiles to visitors from all over the world.
