Usopp Statue
Usopp (ウソップ像), the sniper of the Straw Hat Pirates, can be found standing tall at Aso Station, with his finger raised to the sky. Behind him is Nakadake, one of Japan’s most active volcanoes, offering a stunning backdrop. This powerful statue stands as a symbol of hope and resilience in Aso, a region that faced significant damage during the 2016 earthquakes, which caused landslides throughout the mountains of Aso.
Usopp’s presence in Aso is symbolic, representing nature's strength and the determination to restore the region’s grasslands. As a character known for his clever use of natural elements, he is the perfect figure to embody Aso's ongoing recovery.
