Roronoa Zoro Statue
Roronoa Zoro (ゾロ像), the chief fighter of the Straw Hat Pirates, is a skilled swordsman known for his unique "3 sword style." Formerly a bounty hunter, Zoro’s strength and courage make him a true symbol of resilience. You can find his statue at Ozu Central Park, just a short walk from the Higo Ozu Train Station.
This area holds a special place in the hearts of martial arts enthusiasts, being well-known for its connection to Kendo. Sadly, the local martial arts hall was destroyed during the 2016 earthquakes. Zoro’s statue now stands as a symbol of the fighting spirit, encouraging young people to persevere and never give up.
