Jinbe Statue
Jinbe (ジンベエ像), the powerful whale shark fish-man and helmsman of the Straw Hat Pirates, stands proudly in Sumiyoshi Kaigan Park, Uto. Holding an empty sake cup, he symbolizes resilience and camaraderie. His placement by the sea is fitting, as he comes from the ocean and represents strength in navigating through tough times. Uto was severely impacted by the earthquakes, with its Town Hall nearly collapsing. Jinbe now stands as a beacon of hope, guiding the people of Uto towards recovery, much like how he skillfully steers the Thousand Sunny.
Nestled along the picturesque coastline, Sumiyoshi Kaigan Park offers a serene setting for visitors to admire Jinbe’s statue and take in the fresh sea breeze. The park is a peaceful escape, perfect for reflection and enjoying ocean views. Whether you're a One Piece fan or simply exploring the region, this statue is a must-visit spot. Discover the connection between Jinbe and Uto's strength, and experience the area's coastal charm.
