Shiraito Falls
Shiraito Falls (白糸の滝) is one of Japan’s most breathtaking waterfalls, located at the southwestern base of Mount Fuji. Spanning 150 meters wide, its thin, white streams flow gently from a 20-meter cliff, resembling delicate silk threads. The waterfall is fed by Mount Fuji’s pure spring water, creating a serene and mesmerizing view. A short walking trail from the road leads visitors to the falls, passing scenic spots and souvenir shops along the way.
Along the trail, visitors can also admire Otodome Falls, a powerful 25-meter-high waterfall nearby. The area is especially stunning in summer, when melting snow from Mount Fuji increases the water flow, and in autumn, when vibrant foliage enhances the landscape. With its easy access, seasonal beauty, and peaceful ambiance, Shiraito Falls is a must-visit for nature lovers exploring the Fuji region.
