From Okayama to Kurashiki

  From Okayama, the easiest way to reach Kurashiki is by local or rapid JR Sanyo Line train. The ride takes about 15 minutes, costs 330 yen, and is fully covered by the Japan Rail Pass and JR Kansai Wide Pass. Kurashiki also has a Shinkansen stop at Shin-Kurashiki Station, but it's less convenient and only served by Kodama trains.
