  From Yamaguchi City, you can reach Hagi by train via the JR Sanin Line, but trains are slow and not very frequent. From Asa Station (on the Sanyo Shinkansen), the trip takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes with one transfer and costs around 1,170–1,340 yen.
