From Kobe to Arima Onsen

From Kobe, take the subway from Sannomiya or Shin-Kobe to Tanigami Station (10–15 minutes). From there, transfer to the Shintetsu train to Arima Onsen. The whole trip takes about 30–40 minutes and costs 690 yen.

From Kobe, you can reach Arima Onsen by Shinki Bus (600 yen, 20–25 mins) or JR highway bus (780 yen, 30–50 mins), both running about once an hour, though JR passes are not valid.

From Kyoto, you can take a Keihan or Hankyu highway bus to Arima Onsen. Buses leave a few times a day from the Hachijo side of Kyoto Station. The trip takes about 70 minutes and costs 1,850 yen one way.
