Yokohama Night Illumination (横浜イルミネーション, Yorunoyo) transforms the city into a glowing spectacle every December, centered around Yamashita Park. Visitors can enjoy a breathtaking display of lights, from the rows of illuminated trees along Yamashita Koen Street to the stunning Dynamic Aurora show, which features dazzling floodlights. The entire area is bathed in a magical glow, creating a mesmerizing winter atmosphere.

This enchanting event runs from the beginning of November until the end of February, with illuminations lighting up the night from 5 pm to 9:05 pm. On New Year’s Eve, the lights shine until 1 am, offering a radiant welcome to the new year. Admission is free, making it a must-see experience for both locals and tourists.
