In Fukue Island, there are bus routes, but they mainly serve locals and don’t stop at most tourist spots. Only a few buses go to places like Daihoji Temple and Imochiura Church, and even those don’t run often.
The best way to explore Fukue Island is by renting a car. Rental shops are easy to find near the port and airport in central Fukue. The island is small and easy to drive around in half a day, with main roads and some winding coastal routes.
