Located in the Kannawa District, the Jigokumushi Kobo Steam Cooking Center lets you rent steam chambers to cook dishes like vegetables, seafood, chicken, and rice bowls. You can bring your own ingredients or purchase prepared meals for 150 to 4000 yen. Most meal portions are around 1000 yen. The healthy cooking method, known as Hell Steam Cuisine, enhances the natural flavors of the food, offering a simple yet delicious experience.

Once your meal is ready, enjoy it at the center’s indoor tables or outdoor terrace. After eating, you’re expected to clean your area. The center also features free foot baths, including a unique steam foot bath, adding extra relaxation to your visit.

The Beppu Steam Cooking Center is just a short walk from the Kannawa bus terminal, which you can reach in about 15 minutes by bus from JR Beppu Station. Buses number 5 and 7 are the quickest.
