Neputa Mura is next to the northeast corner of Hirosaki Park. The nearest bus stop is "Bunka Center-mae," a 5-minute walk away. The Tamenobu Loop Bus stops closer at "Neputa Mura," but it runs less often and not in winter.

Neputa Mura
Neputa Mura (ねぷた村), is a captivating museum that showcases Hirosaki's famous Neputa Matsuri and other local cultural treasures. The annual festival, held from August 1 to 7, features large illuminated floats with intricate painted screens depicting beautiful women, warriors, and mythical themes, paraded through the streets of Hirosaki and Aomori Prefecture. Several of these floats are on display at Neputa Mura, offering visitors a chance to appreciate their vibrant designs up close.
In addition to the festival exhibits, Neputa Mura also highlights Hirosaki's other cultural specialties. You’ll find displays on local shamisen music, regional handicrafts, and traditional toys.
