Nagoya (名古屋) is a vibrant metropolis and Japan's fourth-largest city, boasting a population of over two million. Originally developed as the castle town for the Owari branch of the Tokugawa family during the Edo Period, Nagoya is rich in history, although much of its historic architecture was lost during the air raids of 1945.
